Admission and Academic Rules
  • For admission in any 3-year regular under graduate degree, the age of general and OBC category students should be maximum 23 years and age of SC/ST category students should be maximum 26 years. Students older than this are not eligible for regular studies.
  • There is no age limit for girls and women.
  • Online Admission System: From 2013-14, the admission process for Degree/Diploma has been made online by the Department of Higher Education.
  • Register on the portal: https://epravesh.mponline.gov.in/
  • Select Maharana Pratap College in registration, verify original documents at Nodal / Verification Center, and submit the printout to the college.
  • Seat allotment will be done on merit basis and according to student choice.
  • The admission process may occur in two or three stages. If the college is not allotted in the first phase, the application will be processed for the next round and admission will be given through counseling in CLC round.
  • After allotment, students must deposit the fees in the college to complete admission.
  • The online admission process is completed between May and June 30. After portal closure, admission will not be possible.
  • Students must bring all original certificates, 3 self-attested photocopies, and 5 photographs.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC): TC is mandatory for admission. Students from other boards/universities must attach a migration certificate.
  • If TC is not available immediately, students must submit a declaration mentioning the submission time.
  • Gap Certificate: Mandatory if there is 1 or more years gap after 12th/Graduation.
  • Private students can take regular admission in III semester after passing I and II semesters. Similarly, admission in V semester requires passing first and second year completely.
  • Identity Card: It is mandatory to obtain an identity card during admission. Without it entry in class/lab/library is not allowed.
  • Attendance: 75% attendance is mandatory as per university rules. Up to 15% exemption may be granted due to illness.
  • Students with less than 75% attendance may have to pay penalties and will not be eligible for scholarship or examination.
  • Discipline: Students must maintain discipline, good character and follow institutional rules.
Acts of Indiscipline (Punishable)

The following activities are considered indiscipline and students may face punishment including fine or expulsion:

  • Taking ragging or harassing junior students.
  • Use of Gutkha / Pan / Tobacco / Smoking or narcotics inside college.
  • Continuous absence from classes without notice.
  • Non-payment of college fees on time.
  • Damaging college property.
  • Misbehavior with teachers or office staff.
  • Use of unfair means (UFM) in examination.
  • Participation in strikes or disruptive activities.
  • Involvement in criminal activities.
  • Not wearing college uniform or not completing assigned work.
Discipline Committee

A Discipline Committee has been formed by the college which monitors the interests of students and maintains discipline in the campus. Decisions in favor of or against students are taken by this committee according to institutional rules.
