Maharana Pratap College of Science and Technology (MPCST) was established in the historic city of Vidisha in 2012 by the Yash Education and Social Welfare Society. The primary objective of the society in establishing the college was to provide quality higher education to underprivileged students at minimal cost, while promoting their social, moral, intellectual, and personal development. Education is a vital medium for the overall growth of students, including their personal development. In this direction, the college has successfully achieved its intended goals and continues to make steady progress.
Maharana Pratap College offers career-oriented degree programs as well as one-year diploma and postgraduate diploma courses under the faculties of Science, Computer Science & Applications, Commerce, and Arts. Students from Vidisha city, as well as from nearby towns and villages, are enrolling in various degree, diploma, and certificate courses and pursuing their education.
The college aims to equip students with proficiency in fields such as computer science, management, science, commerce, seed technology, and arts, in accordance with the demands of the modern technological era. It also focuses on developing skills in accounting, communication, leadership, and other essential areas, enabling students to succeed in diverse fields.

Education is the manifestation of love and my most cherished possession. Education drives away ignorance and through illumination it emboldens a man to a righteous thought and action. It empowers a woman and enlarges the horizon of her mind. It energizes a society and enables a man to earn his living with respect and praise. Hence my love for it.
In order to accomplish our vision and mission, we are prepared to take as much effort as possible for the betterment of academic scenario in India. We believe that education is an effective medium of social transformation. We get encouragement, looking at bright and successful careers of our thousands of students, which subsequently benefit the society. We feel proud that we are part of such an excellent institute, which is shaping modern India.

Our college cares for the individual development of each and every student. We follow “mentor system” under which each class is put into the multi-pronged web of a teacher. We accord prime importance to the behavioral discipline, moral integrity and cognitive developments of our students. Departments of Youth Welfare, NSS, Physical Education, Career Guidance Cell, Readers Forum, Red Cross Society, Red Ribbon Club and Centre for Women Empowerment offer integrated services for the multi –facetted developments of our students. Our teachers strive to teach not only academic programmes but also life skills needed for students’ self development with highly resourceful faculty.

The Theme for the National service scheme (NSS) – “SWACHHTA HI SEVA”
The National Service Scheme, popularly known as NSS, is a public service programme conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The scheme is an extension of activities for students pursuing higher education to increase their participation in community service.
Every year, September 24 is observed as NSS Day across the country. The central mission of NSS revolves around bridging the gap between educational institutions and local communities, with a special emphasis on rural areas
- Regular activities –
- Plantation Program at least two times on large scale in every years.
- NSS day celebration cultural activities.
- Health awareness programs.

- Blood donation camp is held every year student actively participate and take keep interest in donation.
